Production Assistant Position

Sir Speedy Signs, Print and Marketing, a locally owned and nationally recognized Signage, Printing and Marketing Services company in the Tacoma area is looking for a willing trainee to work in our production area. We have a fast paced, creative, and flexible work environment that empowers our employees to contribute and work independently with a solid team of experienced professionals.

We work with a dynamic and interesting client base ranging from Museums and Non-Profits to Manufacturing, Real Estate, Schools and Government. With the tools and technologies provided, we focus on putting our energy towards creating a remarkably unparalleled experience for each and every customer.

This is where our Production Team comes in! The team works closely with our Customer Service Team and our Sales Team, providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

Production Assistant Responsibility Overview:

· Train to support our bindery department, learning a variety of skills that will be useful in various areas. These will include folding, cutting, padding, collating, scoring, perforating, drilling, stitching, or stapling, laminating, and wrapping.

· Train to support our signage department, learning skills such as printing, cutting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for application, weeding vinyl for application purposes.

· Follow team lead team instructions in getting jobs out in a timely fashion with attention to detail, with priorities set by management.

· Package jobs, complete job tickets/work orders and delivery receipts as necessary and place in designated areas and arrange for delivery or shipping of items as needed using shipper designated on work order/job ticket.

· Delivery driving on occasion using a company provided delivery van.

Skills we are looking for:

· Minimum of six months in production type workplace.

· A willingness to be proactive and take action as needed.

· Strong computer skills with a willingness to learn new software.

· Demonstrated competency with basic math and measurements.

· Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

· Team player that can work with others to deliver a project on time.

· Comply with all OSHA requirements.

· Valid driver's license/clean driving record a must.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work comfortably with power tools.

Compensación: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
